Free Citizenship Civics Classes for Green Card Holders

Beginning May 22, in partnership with the New York Historical Society, the DC 37 Citizenship Committee and DC 37 Education Fund will offer free classes to help union members and their families prepare for the naturalization exam and interview process to receive U.S. citizenship. Classes will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 to 8 p.m. for 12 sessions, starting May 22 at DC 37 headquarters, 125 Barclay Street in Lower Manhattan. Free Citizenship Application Assistance at the Union on Jan. 12

Do you need help applying for citizenship? The union can help. The DC 37 Citizenship Committee, City Council Member Margaret Chin and CUNY Citizenship Now invite you to attend an event for FREE Citizenship Application Assistance at DC 37 union headquarters at 125 Barclay Street, in Manhattan, on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. Members and the community must call 646-664-9400 to get an appointment and to be prescreened. Experienced Lawyers and immigration professionals will assist you with your application. You must meet the following requirements: Reside in the United States as a permanent resident for five years (three if living with and married to the same U.S. citizen) Live in the United States for half of the five years or three years period.
