FREE Data Analytics Courses for NYC H+H Employees

It’s time to level up. Learn data analytics for healthcare.

NYC Health+Hospitals and DC 37 are offering NYC H+H employees FREE data analytics courses. Learn how to gather, prepare, and analyze data in one of two program tracks:

Beginner: Learn to create databases, tables, and query data using SQL; retrieve data and organize data using Python; perform data cleaning and transformations; learn key statistical, visualization and presentation techniques (classes are held March 16-June 27).

Advanced: Master Machine — Learn to train various type of models to make predictions on large data sets; evaluate predictions that result from ML techniques, how to assess model quality and improve models over time (classes are held March 16-July 2).

All interested NYC H+H employees must register to attend ONE of two information sessions Tuesday, March 3 or Wednesday March 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 55 Water Street, Concourse Level, New York, NY 10041. Please bring your union ID. Please click here to apply!

If you are accepted into the FREE data analytics program, you must be available to attend all classes. Classes are scheduled to meet Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at select NYC Health+Hospitals locations in Manhattan.

Previous programs in medical records coding led to improvements in job opportunities and compensation.
